Kew Gardens
Science Festival Campaign
This innovative campaign was launched across two locations, Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, with the goal of engaging a younger audience and highlighting the exciting and approachable side of science. The science-themed elements incorporated into the girl’s hair, combined with her expressive demeanour, effectively conveyed the campaign’s vibrant and playful design.
Leaflet Examples
As part of the new Science Festival campaign, both print and digital leaflets were developed for Kew Gardens and Wakehurst. The magazine was content-focused, featuring a "festival fun" theme to highlight the array of events taking place throughout the festival.
Broadwalk Poject
This campaign was developed to provide a visual preview of how the new Broad Walk borders would appear once completed and filled with vibrant flowers. The design embraced a bold and colorful aesthetic, and a variety of print materials in different sizes and formats were produced. These included everything from standard A4 posters to large-scale 3x1 gate-sized prints, all created in-house.
Print designs offer a tactile experience that the digital realm cannot replicate, engaging the senses through textures, vivid visuals, and the physical presence of the finished piece. There’s nothing quite like the fresh scent of ink and the satisfaction of seeing your hard work brought to life in print.
With this being a new campaign, a print DL leaflet was required to showcase the celebration of the Broad Walk boarders.
This leaflet had to be simple and compact for the user to be able to carry around and open up when required.
Above you can see how the campaign changed the following year once the broadwalk was filled with plantation.
The Hive Project
This campaign was designed to visually showcase The Hive for both internal and external promotions. The design was carefully crafted to align with the architectural structure and conceptual essence of The Hive, ensuring a cohesive and impactful representation.
Orchids Project
Each year, Kew Gardens hosts the Orchids Festival, celebrating orchids from various countries. I had the privilege of working on the India-themed Orchids Festival, drawing inspiration from my own cultural and ethnic heritage to develop concepts that authentically represented the essence of India.
External Gate Posters
Each season, the front gate posters were refreshed with updated imagery and pricing. Below are examples of gate posters I created and displayed. This process included capturing photographs within Kew Gardens, designing the layouts, and producing the final prints using our large-format printers.
Signage
Wayfinding is a crucial aspect of the visitor experience, particularly within Kew Gardens' expansive 300-acre woodland. These signs were designed to guide visitors seamlessly to various locations throughout the gardens, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey.
The Hive is a prominent attraction at Kew Gardens, and dedicated wayfinding signage was created to guide visitors to this landmark. The designs were thoughtfully crafted to align with The Hive's theme, featuring a clean, contemporary aesthetic to ensure clarity and ease of use for visitors.
